New Rooms
08/11/2009 12:31I've already been up at school working on putting our classroom back together, even though we don't have to officially report until Thursday (putting a classroom together is hard work!). I can't wait until everything is complete and ready for the students!
We picked out the colors of blue, black, and purple for the color scheme of our new room (we just moved in May 2009). (My favorite color is blue and Mrs. Pena's favorite color is purple.) We also researched the colors to see if they were the right choice for our room.
BLACK - elegance, formality, power, strength, authority
BLUE - trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, brings feelings of calm/tranquility, and is highly accepted by males (I only had one female student this year!)
PURPLE - ambition, wisdom, independence, creativity, and 75% of preadolescent children prefer purple over all other colors
